It is my mission to change the world for the better, and help others do the same. This informs everything I do. This site is intended to provide a channel and point of interaction between me and the rest of the world. I hope you gain something from it. - Levent Okyay.

The 3 most effective ways to living healthier

You're a busy person. You want to eat healthy but really don't have time to find out what is and isn't healthy and to constantly evaluate everything you eat and do?

You want the pareto law advice for eating healthy, so here it is: The three most effective things you can do to become more healthy:

Getting it right by doing it Well

Have you ever had that feeling like something just works?

Try to remember the last time that happened to you.

Chances are you just made a whole bunch of really good decision and managed to judge something just right.

The result? All the wheels turning smoothly.

Wouldn't it be great if you could do it all the time?

I'm not promising anything, but I think it's possible to do more right, more of the time.

It requires a fusion of open-mindedness and awareness to create a sort of out-of-the-box thinking that leaves you remembering to make the right decision.

Voice

I think that if you hold a firm belief or idea about humanity that will make the world a better place if more widely held you should spread this belief to the best of your abilities. It is in a way your duty to share your insight with the world. And if others ignore you or even react negatively, you are either misguided or unpersuasive. You should develop an open mind to combat the first issue and develop persuasive skill to combat the second.

Minds are like parachutes; they work best when open.

Character may almost be called the most effective means of persuasion.

Nomads and Villages

I'm a nomad.

I had lived in 7 different homes before I hit 15.

I've only travelled to one other country in the past year. For a nomad, that isn't nearly enough.

Before I was a year old, I had visited at least 15 countries. Later I lived in a village (not one of Claude Lewenz' villages, but a village nonetheless). Before age four I lived in one of the largest cities in the world, as well as old suburbs of a medium sized city.

Social Progress

Social Progress is hampered by many things. One thing it is hampered by is the natural behaviour of crowds. I don't mean crowds of people congregating in a particular location, but crowds of people associated with a particular sector. Eventually though progress wins out, because progress backs itself up and is sustainable.

Being Change

Are you being proactive, making decisions for yourself? Or are you letting your awareness slip and giving others the power to make decisions for you? Is your de facto decision maker someone you don't know, the blind forces of economics, with interests contrary to your own?

A lot of people at seeing my diet in action exclaim "Wow! You eat healthy!".
